Is Your Landie Giving You a Headache? You May Not Be Alone.

Have you had strange issues with your Land Rover, Range Rover or Jaguar diesel vehicle?  If so, you are not alone, and you may have a right to take legal action.

Across Australia and the UK, thousands of owners have joined class actions against Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), alleging that certain vehicles were sold with defective diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems. This system is a key part of the exhaust designed to collect soot and other pollutants, which are then meant to be burned off by a regeneration process which involves heating gasses in the exhaust system.

In Australia a class action was brought on behalf of consumers who purchased the relevant models of diesel Land Rover, Range Rover and Jaguar vehicles between 1 July 2015 and 8 August 2024. The class action relates to an exhaust filter system, including the DPF system. The action alleges that the DPF system is defective, and the affected vehicles have a propensity to experience various problems including engine oil dilution and contamination, degradation of engine parts and the DPF system, blockage in various parts of the DPF system, diminished vehicle performance, entering into limp-mode without warning and greater servicing requirements. The class action seeks to recover compensation for loss and damage on behalf of consumers with vehicles affected by the DPF issues.

In the UK, over 42 000 drivers are part of a similar group claim, after the High Court there gave it the green light in November 2024.

If you have owned or currently drive one of the affected diesel models listed below and have experienced repeated problems, you may be part of a growing group of consumers who deserve answers and justice.

If your car has had similar issues, do not stay silent, your experience could help build a case and protect other consumers.
